The site is available in nine languages, but consultations are conducted in Korean and English.

All content on the site is general information and is not legal advice for any specific case.

Reading the site, talking to the guide assistant, or sending an enquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. A retainer relationship is formed only when, after a consultation, a retainer agreement is signed.

Accordingly, the office is not responsible for decisions made based on the site's content or for the results of such decisions. Matters with deadlines, such as statutes of limitations, appeal periods, or objection periods, must be confirmed in a consultation.

In accordance with Article 26 of the Attorney-at-Law Act, the office keeps confidential any secrets learned in the course of its work. However, what you write to the guide assistant is transmitted to overseas processors to generate a reply, so for detailed facts, it is safer to discuss them by phone or during a visit.

The guide assistant is an automated response function that generates replies based on the office's prepared guidance materials. It is not a lawyer, it does not give legal advice, and it does not predict the outcome of any case.

Replies may be inaccurate or incomplete. Questions not covered by the materials are forwarded to office staff, whose replies are given during business hours.

Conversation content is transmitted to overseas processors for generating and translating replies. This transmission is premised on the separate consent you are asked to give when starting a conversation. If you do not consent, you can use a phone or in-person consultation. For details, see the privacy policy.

In situations where time works against you, such as arrest, search and seizure, or a request to appear for questioning, do not wait for the guide assistant's reply; call instead.

The cases on the site are cases the office actually handled. Each outcome results from the facts and evidence of that case and the laws in force then.

The outcome of one case does not predict or guarantee the outcome of another. Nothing on the site promises a win or a specific disposition.

In the posted texts, no names, birth dates, addresses, contact numbers, or case numbers of the persons involved are given. However, details such as nationality, residence status, family relations, allegations, and the outcome of the disposition remain, and a person who knows the circumstances may be able to tell whose case it is. If you believe content about yourself is posted, you may request deletion through the contact details in the privacy policy.

The rights to the texts, photographs, and editorial content on the site belong to the office or to the rightful holders.

Reproduction, distribution, transmission, or creation of derivative works beyond the scope of citation requires the office's prior consent.

The photographs attached to the case introductions were not taken at the scene of the case. They are staged, and the people appear only from behind or partially, so they cannot be identified by face. The same photograph is reused for several cases. The people in the photographs are not parties to the case. Among the photographs on the site, the only one showing a real person is the lawyer's own portrait.

The site contains links to external services such as maps, booking, and the office's social accounts. The office is not responsible for the content or policies of those linked sites.

The site may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, failures, or network conditions, and whenever possible, notice is given in advance.

The guide assistant may change or be discontinued without notice. The phone and email remain available regardless.

This site constitutes lawyer advertising subject to the Korean Bar Association's Regulations on Lawyer Advertising.

The lawyer responsible for the advertising under Article 3(2) of the same regulations is 주영재, and the local bar association is the Daejeon District Bar Association.

The office's handling of personal information follows the privacy policy posted on this site.

There are two ways content is transmitted to the office from the site: the guide assistant and the written enquiry form. The same document describes what items are collected and where they are kept, and the scope of the transfer of guide assistant conversations overseas and how to refuse it.

The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to the use of this site.

If a dispute arises between the office and a user, the court determined by the Civil Procedure Act will be the court of jurisdiction.
